Lauren Curtis  In the United States, social media influencers are as popular as movie stars. We constantly watch their YouTube videos, like their Instagram photos, and share their TikToks. However, how many Americans tend to watch influencers from other countries? After all, they are just as influential as the influencers right here in our backyard. One of the influencers with a large social media following in Australia is Lauren Curtis. Lauren mainly focuses on beauty brand reviews and advice.   Personally, I have never watched Laurens's videos, but through research for this paper, I have come to enjoy her content. She has 3.36 million followers on her Youtube account , where she posts things about her personal life and beauty hacks.   Trending Topics: BeReal When I think of "Trending Topics," my mind immediately goes to Twitter . I am usually reminded of this due to daily checking the "Trending" tab on the platform.  Oxford Languages defines trending as "currently popular or widely discussed online, especially on social media websites." Not many people are unfamiliar with the term "trending," especially in my age demographic. From a public relations perspective, trending topics can be essential to a marketing campaign and helpful when promoting a company or individual. Sometimes, trending topics can boost a company's reputation, but other times they can do just the opposite.  Like everyone my age, I am always on the lookout for new social media trends and staying with what is popular.
